The summer time woes...
What a summer its been!! I'm here in Washington, and its been a long time since I've written. That doesn't make sense since I'm bored a lot. I live in my brothers basement and work for my brothers boss. I ride my brothers motorbike and hang out with my brothers kids. I'm even my brothers assistant in the scouting program!
At work this summer, we completed one job, at the spring valley site. Last year we built a mile stretch of paved road and a mile of unpaved road. this year the excitement out there was a fire so big that I thought we were either going to kill our selves or anyone else that lived close by. we were burning slash piles and it got a little out of control. 3 months later we're still having fires flare up.
Since Spring Valley is done, we've moved the job site to Arizona Lane, a 750 foot stretch of road ended by a cul-de-sac. This has been kind of fun in that I have been the chief surveyor. We hired a full on surveyor, but being as he is 75 and not in touch with reality, I have resurveyed the whole road with a tape measure and a laser level. been pretty fun!! We just found out about a week ago that a lay off is imminent. Come the end of the month, we're out of jobs. Oh well!! I guess I have to go back to my Heidi!
Heidi is doing great! I have seen her without fail every other week. She is in island park working for the department of fish and game. She helps her ma out at night and stays pretty darn busy! she's the young single adult leader, so that takes her time on Mondays and Thursdays, and she's the young womens camp specialist, so that takes her time on Tuesdays. To top that off, I'm there or she's here everything other weekend, so she doesn't have much time to have a social life there in island park. Plus she can't walk fast cause her knee is about twice its size. I'll let her tell you that story.
The family seems to be doing good. Dad has been retired now for almost a year and he is loving it! He's in Arizona right now working for some other company. Who knows what he's doing.
School is going to be exciting! I'm taking a not too difficult semester. I have all my classes on MWF so I can have Tues and Thurs off to work or play. I guess I should work once the semester begins since I don't have a job now, but rock climbing sounds so much more exciting!
Well, thats how my summer has been! Thanks for looking!!

PS I haven't shaved since the week before finals, the first part of April! Its looking pretty good!
